Limitless | Takeru Otsuka
This episode features Japanese snowboarding phenom Takeru Otsuka.
In 2018, as a fresh-faced 17year old, Takeru became the youngest athlete to win a gold medal in Big Air at X Games Norway. He backed this feat with another gold medal the following year at X Games Aspen. Destined for even greater things, Takeru broke his fibula during a high-profiled video shoot.
Filmed over three years during covid where international travel was mostly prohibited, can Takeru return to his top-level competition form in a sport where progression is so fast, a year-and-a-half break from competition could be detrimental to his competitive-career?
** Limitless is a documentary series on four world-class snow-athletes, each striving to reach a new level in their performance ahead of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
