Olympic Gold and Silver medalist (2022 Beijing Winter Olympics) Ryoyu Kobayashi is one of the most successful contemporary ski jumpers in the world.

He came to world prominence when he won the 2018-19 World Cup season with a dominant performance which included thirteen World Cup event wins and winning all six possible titles in the World Cup season. He also became the third ski jumper in the history to win all four competitions in the prestigious Four Hills Tournament.

However, in the following 2019-20 and 2020-21 season, he struggled with the pressure to back up his previous stellar performance.
